All these tracks were recorded on the 5th of February 2003 in a few hours. I do this pretty fast these days. Again, it has pretty long tracks which move slowly, 'reasons you gave' in particular has a lot of, like, spaaaaaaace, man. The album title came from my visit to Opatija, where I found out that over there 'nada' means 'hope', and in spanish it means 'nothing'. So it's really fuckin' deep. 'Constellation' was named after one of the big US aircraft carriers that is about to go and bomb Iraq to fuck, but it's also a reference to the Montreal post-rock label I nick many of my ideas from. 'Nada' sounds a lot like Godspeed, if there was only one of them. Which there's not. 'Pyskick' comes from Phoenix Nights, as comedy fans will no doubt have spotted, although the song itself is not brimming with Northern humour, being as it is a short piece of experimental, um, fucking around. The vibrating backround noise bits sound a bit like 'Aether' by The Necks, which proves that, if nothing else, I can drop obscure references like a mo'fukka. Anyway, I'm pretty happy with this CD, so ner.The acoustic CD was done on the same day, and no-one's having it except me and Tina cos it was part of her birthday present, so if you want this you only get the first CD. Sorry. The CD features a couple of tracks that were due to go on the album ('fire this time' and 'variable geometry'), but which I couldn't get to sound any good on my shitty electric guitar. The final track features a phone call by some idiot from an insurance company. Fuckers. Anyway, the fact it was a surprise present meant I couldn't ask Tina to design the artwork, so I botched it together out of some pics she took in Sale last November which I 'chalk and charcoaled' in MS Photo Editor cos my printer doesn't like colours. So, sorry about that, too.
