Ah, the collaboration EP. I'd been intending for a while to get some vocals on these tracks without having to do it myself. So, Tina decided during a moment of boredom to sing some gibberish about green mice not jumping over red moons, over the title track from 'a short distance from anywhere', and it turned out great. It seems a little unfair that she should be so good at singing as well as photography, web design and 'other stuff', but that's the way it goes. Some people just get all the talent.
After crawling out of Tina's arse, I went and added some music to an acappella I had of my Mexican net-buddy Cynthia Rodriguez (http://crash.to/thejouster) singing some words she made up. Well, she didn't MAKE UP the words, but she arranged them into sentences herself. It would have sounded better if the music was done first, so maybe we'll do that another time haha. The guitars in the chorus were not intentionally stolen from 'To Forgive' by the Pumpkins, so shhhhh. Now, obviously, former Antipop Consortium rapper turned future-funk neo-soul b-boy experimentalist Beans doesn't know he collaborated with me, but I'm sure the pleasure would be all his. If he knew. In reality, I just stole this rap about crack addiction from his new album 'Tomorrow Right Now', which you can obtain in all good record stores, and lots of bad ones. I'll probably re-record the music to this for the next album, if you remind me. 'I'm Shock' is great in my opinion, and it's here because it has rock bits in which wouldn't fit on the albums. So now you know. You may leave now.Oh yeah, I forgot. Since this only has 5 tracks I did the artwork, or rather, I fucked around with some more of Tina's purdy pictures. NOW you can go.
