Megalomania

Enough Rope's MySpace page - A new place to get a fix of Enough Rope, the latest, hottest mp3s will probably be up here. Unless I foget about it or something. If any of y'all have a myspace account, add me!

Jonnyhead's livejournal
- All the exciting happenings in jonnyhead's brain get collected about once a week and dumped here. Go there and there'll probably be some link pimping this site. Cool!

enoughrope.iuma
- lots of early-ish Enough Rope mp3s are stored here, however for a long time the server has been so fucky as to be almost completely useless. Try it though, you never know.

Psychotic Cushion Records - the official site of the Psychotic Cushion Records label, home to Enough Rope and several other made-up bands with stupid names. You can find interesting things here, if you look really hard.

The old enough rope site - travel back in time, as if by magic, in order to experience enough rope's humble internet beginnings. this old site was self-built, which is why it looks rubbish, but if pointless nostalgia is your bag, then this'll be right up your proverbial alley. There's actually some different content, or will be until Geocities remove it. Ha!

Koala Gateaux Ambush - Home to the world's second-favourite animal/cake crossover band, after their parent band, Panda Flan Attack. You probably came from here, though.

Comrades/Spaff-related information

Tina Toth - Tina is great at very many things. Some of these things can be found on her super-cool site. She's, like, a proper artist, and all my covers that are any good were done by her. She also designed this site for me, cos she's sweet and I'm lazy. I'm not biased about her, even though she is my girlfriend. Tina's site has now changed to a funky gallery and has forsaken the heartwarming Enough Rope music it used to use. But I'm not bitter, I stroll on, man.

Cactus - the closest thing there is to an official Enough Rope forum, this is the forum run lovingly by Tina and myself. Internet legend has it that Cactus is merely a hangout for perverts, but this is far from certain. You need to sign up, but once Interpol and the CIA have run background checks and I've performed an invasive cavity search you should have the all-clear unless you're clealy a wrong'un. Seriously, join, we're all lovely.

52 Teenagers - the official site of Manchester's 52 Teenagers, an excellent band who are still my mates despite being ridiculously talented and handsome. Once they get signed they won't talk to me any more, but until that happens and I organise a boycott, check them out! Tina designs this.

PTA - the official site of rockin' local band PTA. So local, in fact, their guitarist lives in my fucking house! This band are much better than 'go here, it's my brother's rock band' makes it sound, but go here, it's my brother's rock band.

Audiojunkies - a music site where cheapo music thieves like you can plot ways to steal artists' hard work without adequate compensation. Why don't you get a fucking job, layabouts? Anyway, this site is run by internet celebrity, friend of the stars and Enough Rope acquaintance Jed Shepherd, and the layout is once again the work of Tina Toth's delicate hands. I post on the forum here and have contributed a lengthy review of Japanese band Mono, and may do more one day even though they don't pay you shit.

Adam Cooney - second most talented photographer I know (after Tina), and all-round good egg Adam 'Damon Acejoy' Cooney uses this link as a repository for all kinds of funky band photos. None of which are of Enough Rope.

Panda Flan Attack - BigChris works the controls of this site, which is powered using only natural, environmentally sound methods, including using roadkill. Well, it's already dead!

Cook'd And Bomb'd/Verbwhores
- Peter Cook/Chris Morris-based comedy site, whose Verbwhores forums receives my presence, whereupon I did once submit a track for inclusion on a forum compilation (see status page). The forums are full of obscure music and links to comedy and lots of serious debate and shit, check it.

Bands/labels/music etc

MF Doom - Metal Face, the rapper's rapper, underground hip-hop hero and veteran of early 90s group KMD, now putting out prodigious levels of dopeness under aliases including King Geedorah and Viktor Vaughn as well as under his own name and collaborations including DangerDoom (with Dangermouse) and Madvillain (with the equally legendary Madlib), whose 'Madvillainy' album from '04 is certified as a stone-cold fucking classic on my stereo at least.

Dotshop.se
- these guys hooked me up swiftly with a copy of World's End Girlfriend's 'The Lie Lay Land' after some unsuccessful attempts to get it from Japan. Everything on the site is ready to send unless otherwise stated and so I got it all the way from Sweden in 3 working days! Swish! Nice prices as well, check it if there's something obscure you're trying to chase down.

Boomkat - the online home of Pelicanneck Records in Manchester, my favourite independent record store. Sign up to their mailing list and you'll get a nice email with great write-ups of all the latest leftfield releases. Top-drawer shizzle!

Piccadilly Records
- Manc's other finest indie store, another place well worth getting on the mailing list for to keep band up-to-date with the new shit.

Hood -
a big influence recently, Leeds band Hood make wintry electronic-tinged indie music, only really really good. 'Cold House' and 'Outside Closer' are the starting points.

Gang Gang Dance
- genre-bending madness on The Social Registry, check out their eponymous album and the glorious 'God's Money', then shoot your experimental wad all over the carpet.

fbcfabric
- ace Shadow-meets-Kranky post-rock/hip hop fandangle, fbcfabric's new album with Reindeer, 'It's Not Who You Know, It's Whom You Know' is an epic. Think Godspeed, think Atmosphere, think RJD2, think lots of things, but check it out.

The Chap
- excellent British art-rock/electronic outfit whose album 'Ham' gets a massive thumbs-up from me. And these thumbs are worth gold, man.

Mono
- a band that most people don't know, so I took it upon myself to pimp them. Signed to the Tzadik label, they're a four-piece Japanese post-rock band in the vein of Mogwai or something. They have a guitarist called Yoda! You know you wanna check it out.

NNCK - or The No-Neck Blues Band, a New York Collective whose fucked-up and largely critically derided 2003 album 'Intonomancy' was an influence on some of the weirder edges of my shit.

Dälek - brutal-on-the-ears industrial rock meets gravitas-filled rap. In the future.

The Necks - Australian band who make massive extended jazz soundscapes, usually hitting the 60-minute mark. Some beautiful stuff.

Anticon - this is a super-cool avant hip-hop label, and you learn all about cLOUDDEAD, Themselves, Alias, Sage Francis, Doseone, Why? etc. Go here and buy their CDs and then you'll be cool enough to hang out with me.

Constellation - go here for Canadian music. Wait! Come back! This is actual decent music by Canadians, surprisingly. Godspeed You Black Emperor! live here along with Do Make Say Think and Hangedup and Sofa and loads of other bands. Stop listening to Stereophonics and go here, you twat.

Saul Williams - poet, rapper, actor and all round dude. Check him out.

The Tool Page - my favourite unofficial band site on the net, containing all you needed to know about what Tori Amos thinks is so good about Maynard's cookery skills, and other things. Huge site about a great band (Tool, that is).

Serious shit

Bob Kolody - i have a song named after him, so it seems fair to link to his story here. He's a guy who it seems is getting royally screwed over in a secret multi-million dollar lawsuit against Coca-Cola. It's complicated. Get a cup of coffee and read through this if you're bored.

GNN - if you're the sort of person who sits around getting pissed off at George W Bush, go here. Loads of left-wing news and opinions for the Chomsky in you. I go in the forum here occasionally.

Independent Media Center - more news you won't find through the normal channels. Form opinions based on this.
